The Nebraska FFA Association celebrates our accomplishments each year with an annual State FFA Convention. Over 4,000 people attend the Nebraska FFA Convention, held each spring in Lincoln. (This figure includes over 3,200 FFA members.) Nebraska has one of the largest state conventions and one of the largest percentages of membership who attend the convention of any state association. The convention culminates the year of activities for the state association.
At the convention, we hold our state Career Development Events and state Leadership Skills Events; present the Agricultural Proficiency Awards, the State FFA Degree and the Stars Over Nebraska Pageant; recognize outstanding FFA chapters; provide career development and personal growth workshops; and carry out the official business of the state association.
Activities available for sponsorship at the 2011 Nebraska State FFA Convention include: - Sponsor Recognition Dinner – Nearly 500 FFA members, parents, State FFA Officers and sponsors of the Nebraska FFA Foundation attend a dinner that recognizes and honors their support. The FFA members attending are the top three individuals from each of the 47 Agricultural Proficiency Award areas. This event is available for co-sponsorship, with CoBank and Smart Chicken, at $3,750.
- Motivational Speaker(s) – One of the educational highlights of the convention is to bring a high quality, high profile speaker(s) to the convention. The speaker(s) has the opportunity to share encouragement, motivation and support to FFA members and guests. Speaker sponsorships range from $500 to $3,500. Please contact the FFA Foundation Office regarding this year's speakers.
- State FFA Convention Program Book – The program book is distributed to all convention attendees (approximately 5,000) – students, parents, teachers and guests. In addition, it is used in various mailings and promotions after the convention. This is a high visibility opportunity for an organization. The sponsorship for the 2011 State FFA Convention Program Book is $7,500.
- General FFA Convention Support – General support given for the convention is used to help in the rental of Pershing Auditorium for the convention sessions, as well as to assist in carrying out all of the activities of the convention, otherwise not funded. Visibility will be provided to convention sponsors, depending on the level of support provided. For contributions of $1,000 and above, supporters will be listed in the convention program book, on a recognition banner and in a recognition slide shown prior to the convention sessions. For contributions under $1,000, supporters will be listed in the convention program book and on a recognition banner.
