Goal: $60,000 for Local FFA Chapters and the Nebraska FFA Foundation
What is this campaign? I Believe in the Future of Ag is a fundraising campaign focused on building capacity for the future of FFA at both the local and state level. This is the inaugural campaign and is designed to be repeated annually across Nebraska.
Who is involved? Central Valley Ag (CVA), Monsanto and Land O’Lakes have partnered with the Nebraska FFA Foundation, by providing a challenge grant of $30,000 – $10,000 each – toward the campaign. We are asking CVA members/producers, customers, employees, parents, community leaders and others to contribute $30,000 through individual donations. The overall goal is to raise $60,000 – or more!
Here's why these companies are involved:
"There is no question that everyone in Nebraska needs FFA. Nebraska agriculture survives by our dedicated and loyal farmers and ranchers. FFA gives our young adults the experience and desire in agriculture to be our next generation of leaders for Nebraska. CVA's board of directors, employees and patrons understand the value that FFA brings to our local communities and are willing to step up and support this great organization!" Reed Nelsen, Vice President of Marketing, Central Valley Ag
"Land O'Lakes has a long history of supporting rural communities and youth," according to Kyle Maple, Director, Strategic Accounts, Land O'Lakes Ag Services. "Youth are the future of those communities, especially as the leaders in agriculture and in the workforce here at Land O'Lakes. We are proud to be a part of this campaign, supporting the activities of FFA as they continue to develop young people for that future."
"We are proud to continue our long-standing FFA sponsorship and support Nebraska agriculture at the state and community level and we're confident communities throughout the state will step up to meet this challenge," said Trey Key, Monsanto Area Business Manager. "We strongly believe in FFA's mission to develop students' potential in leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education."
