A continuing need for your support.
The Nebraska FFA Foundation supports a number of ongoing FFA programs in Nebraska including:
Awards and Recognition You can sponsor an agriculture proficiency award in a specific category—or a career development event that matches up with your particular area of interest. The Agricultural Proficiency Awards program challenges students to set goals and apply skills to achieve them. Career Development Events (CDE) create a connection between classroom instruction and hands-on, real-life experience. Learn more.
Nebraska State FFA Convention Corporate sponsorships put your company in front of thousands of young Nebraskans and their families. This annual event draws more than 4,000 people including more than 3,200 FFA members. A number of high-visibility partnership opportunities are available. Nebraska has one of the largest state conventions and one of the largest percentages of membership who attend the convention of any state association. The convention culminates the year of activities for the state association. The Foundation is responsible for securing sponsors for the state convention. Learn more.
Chapter Office Leadership Training (COLT) Each year, officers from FFA chapters across Nebraska meet at the Leadership Training Center in Aurora to learn how to become strong and effective leaders for their chapters and their communities. This project is funded by Monsanto.
Pursuing Excellence, Achievement and Knowledge (PEAK) Conference Each summer, the Nebraska FFA Association provides a high-quality leadership conference for FFA members. The Pursuing Excellence, Achievement and Knowledge (PEAK) Conference is focused on leadership development for all FFA members. Members attending PEAK work in age-specific groups and gain leadership and personal growth experiences appropriate for their interests and ages. In 2009, this program was funded by USDA-Nebraska Farm Service Agency and the Nebraska FFA Alumni Association. Learn more.
True Blue Initiative A new program directed at locating and connecting with past Nebraska FFA members and others with an interest in FFA. Several sponsor opportunities are available, including sponsoring the Nebraska FFA Foundation newsletter. Learn more.
Major Fundraising Initiatives Two key fundraising initiatives are the Ted Ward Legacy Fund, with a goal of $240,000 in matching gifts ($1,000 from 240 individuals); and the Nebraska FFA Jacket Fund, in which donors provide an FFA jacket to a deserving student for a $75 donation.
